Think Longs Peak area. ;)
Are you from Denver? I'm originally from Pittsburgh, but moved out here for the hub and a life upgrade. While I'm one to talk, this poor state has been overrun by Californians (and their bad driving).

i am! i live just at the edge right now, smashed up against littleton and aurora on the southeast side.
i just drove near you today, in fact, on the way back from grand junction! i'm in love with your style, you've totally got what i want when i grow up someday (you know, since 29 is so not grown up ;)).

It's good to be close to Denver because the city always has so much going on. We're in between Ft. Collins and Boulder and on the Front Range not in the mts. :)
Hee, it helps to be married and have two incomes! There are some lower priced condos and apartments here, so we have a relatively diverse demographic (lots of CA'ers) as far as incomes go. The neighborhood is very social as well.

I could not imagine living in a house without plants. I'll link you to an instruction 'manual' I made a few years ago: here

How do you keep all your plants alive in Colorado? I live in Denver, and I've given up on keeping things alive inside. I'm from the south, and I really miss having a home full of plants.

Just making sure I repot when needed, fertilize every six weeks or so, and make sure the plants that can't dry out don't. It's just maintenance, which is hard if you're really busy and don't have a lot of time. We have a scheduled cleaning day on Sundays so that's when we usually do all of the watering!
I really miss the decidious and wetter climate of the East for sure!

Thanks, it was definitely a fortuitous find. It had already been purchased, but apparently the purchaser had shortly thereafter had a mental breakdown so her friends decided to give it back to the store.
Ha, thanks, she's a cuddler!

I love how clean and smart your place looks. I love that you have so many plants in your house - instant feng shui points.

Thanks-it's definitely a challenge to find a balance between too minimal and too cluttered! I <3 plants-vegetation monitoring is part of my job so I can't help myself.
