wow. it's gorgeous. did you decorate it yourself? how much was this place, if you don't mind me asking...

My wife and I are about 50/50 on decorating ideas. We sort of offset each other and veto each others goofiest plans. I think the owner had this place listed at 325K, plus another 20K for the parking space (a premium in Chicago). We have considered maybe buying it, but the home owner's dues here are ridiculous. As high as our rent is here, I'm not sure how the landlord is making a profit off of us unless he got it for a steal in the first place.

I really like the wood floors.

The place was originally a men's clothing factory, I've been told the floors are original. They have a lot of character, all sorts of burns and scars on them. It's nice, you don't have to worry about scratching them!
