Media Bias: 2012 World Series.

The Vancouver Police continue to arrest, charge and get convictions against idiots who rioted after the Game 7 loss in the Stanley Cup almost 15 months ago. The sort of stupid facebook poses like you see above have gotten many people into a lot of trouble.

I personally don't care that much if people get rambunctious after a big event, so long as the damage isn't permanent (fires, overturning vehicles) and more of the fixable kind (temporary paint, et cetera). Definitely, I could care less about rowdy behavior, so long as nobody is directly messing with me.

But I do care greatly when media gets caught up in a convenient story and ignores consistency. I saw a couple of people comment that Detroit would consider San Francisco's outbursts "amateur hour." Screw that.

My view is, every city is filled with lousy bums who will wreck property and use any excuse to vent their ill moods. Since every city is arguably the same, with regard to crime and bad behavior, then national media reports (like any time something goes wrong in Detroit) are more of an effort to demonize city life (and what it represents, minorities) in general.

I can't properly express how much I enjoy living in a populated area, so I tend to really hate the negative focus on cities. In fact, I can barely tolerate the rural experience.
