HD DVD is the new Betamax.

Toshiba, the company behind HD DVD, has announced the end of the format.

Hahahah, yeah.

I can't believe the opposite, had it been true . . . Sony's PS 3 would have been destroyed. In fact, up until the last few months, I figured HD DVD was going to be the way of the future, probably in 2-3 years. I mean, Sony did a hell of a ballsy move with regard to making Blu-ray their gaming standard. Most of the time, that move produces epic failure.

I still don't think Sony gets the American market. I remember those PS 3 ads . . . they were ridiculous. The baby they used in that one ad reminded me of the dead baby crawling along the ceiling in Trainspotting.
