The Imperials start to get REAL interesting at around Bur-Omisace but...uh. That may be an extreme bias talking here because basically Basch's Evil Twin gets a hell of a lot of development at the end of the game to the point where I love the poor crazy bastard desperately.

Also, true story: Ashe is basically just...the real main character of this game.

She really is. I just think that because she's actually usefull, strong, and dosn't spend half the game being kidnaped or bursting into tears, that the Japanese were not abile to except the fact that a woman could be a man's equal and made Vaan the main character (who lets' face it. is pretty fucking useless)

Really? I think it was a narrative concern: Ashe wouldn't be asking enough stupid questions so that the player would understand what was going on, Ashe basically does not get to laugh or have any fun, which would make the game a little too bleak, and other stuff like that.

Clearly she is the main character. Vaan is just the narratory device: Sherlock Holmes is the main character, but Watson tells us what's going on? Sort of like that? Except that Vaan is clearly no Watson.

Also his in-game face is really ugly.
