What's wrong with The Lost Boys: The Tribe

I think I've figured out what bothered me about The Lost Boys: The Tribe. As well as not being a Schumacher movie, it's essentially 90 minutes of really bad fanfiction with a mediocre soundtrack.

First, yeah, there's so much disappoint going around about this. I hope it doesn't keep new people from wanting to watch the original, which is so much fun.

The "now" Santa Carla gets my vote for "The Most Underused Set Ever".

I wonder if they didn't put an abandoned amusement park in because they were moving it away from Santa Carla. I mean, I'm still not sure why they wanted to set it in a whole different fictional town in California, but since they did, I wonder if it was a conscious choice to not echo the boardwalk elements of the original film.

(That being said, I haven't seen it yet; I mod a board for the original, and the only info I have has come from watching the section about the sequel, making sure no one is attacking each other.)

I'm still so disappointed that they made this sequel, and I tend to love unnecessary sequels. (Prime example: I own and enjoy ALL the sequels to Lilo & Stitch, from the tv series to the multiple movies.)

I watched the movie and I agree with you. Right out of the gate they just start cussing up a storm. I mean why do people put cussing and sex in a movie that really doesn't need it. It could be totally good without that.

What I was largely disappointed in was that they didn't have more characters from the original. Just Edgar Frog? I mean come on, why cut out Haim and the other frog brother. It just doesn't seem right to see Feldman on screen by himself. I've recommended the original to all my friends who haven't seen either.

What was my best part of the movie? The alternate endings that featured Haim. Okay so maybe I'm a fangirl but it was nice to see him playing off Feldman. I don't know why they had to associate this movie with 'Lost Boys.' I'm only sixteen years old, but I've watched 'The Lost Boys' so many times and I love it so much. To see it's name smeared with this so-called 'sequel' is heartwrenching.

What good came out of this movie? Angus Sutherland is hot. ♥
