Person/Thing: Curtain rod, which was the hardest thing to include without feeling like I'd forced it. >.>

Place: Marshland, so I went with the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

Literary Device: Flashbacks. I really like doing flashbacks in general, so this was the easiest thing to work with. XD
