Year in review - a bit late

Another year. Boy, how they seem to speed up, don’t they? When you were young, each year was an eternity of sunny days, swimming pools, and recess. What is it that makes these days run away so fast (“like wild horses over the hills” - Buk)? there's something to be said for taking the time to sum up a whole year in a post.. well worth the wait!
i'm hankering for a utah trip this year too, hopefully with my sister - escalante is at the top of my list. it's been far too long. i've always wanted to check out neon canyon.. logistics, at this point, as neither of us has a car, and we live in two different cities. but we may yet make it happen.

Neon is great, plus if you're willing to hike a bit from the mouth of Neon, Choprock is another fantastic canyon in the area. It gets technical pretty far up, but until then, it's a great hike

i've heard of choprock. i'll dig through my books tonight. the trip is on, for mid-march! my sister's never been to that area, so i'm excited to introduce her. i'm definitely taking her to spooky and peek-a-boo. you been through those?

I lag incredibly... sorry, been without internet for awhile

Actually, my last trip to the Escalante area was my only trip so far... but it was more than enough to know I need to go back very often and stay as long as possible. Anyways, I read a bit about Spooky and Peek-a-boo, but I don't really know much about them except I thought they were technical hikes... but I could be wrong. I read about so many friggin canyons off the Escalante while researching my initial trip, I can't remember which was which now
