A Date with My Wife

This past Friday my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 24 hours together. In the past, we have normally had her parents take our kids for the entire Spring Break. My kids love it, her parents love it and we get a whole week to ourselves, so naturally we love it. This year we weren’t willing to let them stay a week down there. Lots of issues but suffice

Thanks for the kind words... I'm glad to hear there are other guys like me, not that I feel all that special. However, I do hear about a lot of guys who seem to not really care about communicating in their spouses love language. You guys have been a great encouragement.

Wow. Just wow. Your wife is really lucky to have you appreciate all that stuff about her. I wish my guy appreciated [or at least made clear that he appreciated] things like that about me.

I hate to sound like a therapist when so much is still being sorted out in my own relationship, but I do reccomend a book... The 5 Love Languages. It's not going to solve everything, but a good understanding is a great base. A good study of personality styles is also very helpful.

And yeah, it was wonderful. The best part has been how even with life going back to normal, things have been better. A recharge was so needed.
