asparagus festival

yes, you read it right. an asparagus festival. apparently it's a huge deal in stockton. mum wanted to go and so i went with her. i thought it would be terrible (i hate asparagus D:) but it was like a county fair with an asparagus theme. we hit up the art show ( i got a really awesome kasa and giant fan!) and ate lots of food. i had chicken kabobs

i have no idea. something about ferns and asparagus stalks. i'm just more amused by the asparagus stalks in the ground.

My mom planted asparagus last year. It kinda looks like a fern to me, even when it gets big, but it's actually a flowering plant. Definitely the weirdest sprout ever. @_@ But kinda good if you can get the skinny stalks, and microwave them with vinegar. :3
