Yes, I am full with battle plans. Lol. I am glad you love my icons, darl. Yeah, that is dead spot on, I rarely blend pictures together. I guess I am lazy for that, but I do know that that is one of your strongest points and I can see how it makes an icon more creative and interesting to look at. I will definately try to experiment with blending.
Yeah, I am always curious myself, but most makers that I am curious of their colouring techniques never ever post tutorials, I sort of understand that they want to keep the mystery, on the other hand I wish I would know and understand their secret techniques, which might only come off as such to me.
Hello darling. I would love tutorials. In the sense that I would flip out from joy if you posted some. That would be amazing. And I'll definitely write something about your icons later when I have time. For now, I'll just say that I really love them. :) I'll be back!
And I hope that things feel better for you soon. ♥ *hugs*
The least I could do to show you my appreciation for your icons is to comment on this post. So...
1. In my opinion, it would be good if you avoid working with so many textures. Don't get me wrong, I love most of your icons with textures (and the textures themselves), but some have too many of them for my taste (on the other hand, others look great). This, for example. I don't know if you used only one texture or more here, but even if it's just one, I'd advise you not to put so many things in an icon - I see use of text, repeat and texture in just 100x100px. Then again, this is just me, so if you feel really strong about working with textures, do it
( ... )
I'm not nearly as good as you yet, so I don't know if I even have a right giving your advice and constructive criticism, but I shall try to list some thoughts and opinions, at the very least. :)
1. Your graphics lately have been gorgeous; especially your texture use which I greatly admire, and have never been able to achieve. Perhaps, you could try to use a bit more saturation and vibrancy. Not that the pale colors don't compliment some textures you use, but, now this is just an personal thing, I've always been a fan of rich and poignant colors. Also, lots of popular graphics makers usually have a lot of bright, eye popping color. That's really the only thing I can think of. Aside from those thoughts, your graphics of some of the ones I admire most.
