Okay so here we go!

Icons that are perfect: 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9
Close to perfect:
1 - I think it's a gorgeous icon but the blue light on her hair on the left might have been too much. I love that Amy herself is so warmly colored though even though the background has such a cold color. It's a beautiful contrast.
3 - I think this one could have used a bit more contrast, and maybe a bit more play with lights. Love love love the crop though. How you can still see the back of the Doctor's head, completely black, love it.
8 - I think it's a bit undercontrasted and blurry. I think a warmer color instead of purple might have fitted better for it, personally.

Not beeing an elite maker or anything, I really like 2, 4, 5 and 7! For me 3 needs something, 'cause it looks like you used two layers one in multiply and other on screen and that was it. But other than that they look okay :D

Yeah, I agree #3 is rather simple-looking, but I like the softness. I don't really use Multiply though and I have used several layers actually. I always colour first even if they end up being monochrome. :) I also tried to add some decorative textures, but it did not work out. But yeah, I agree #3 definitely needs something more!

I'm glad you're back to posting icons. I don't make icons myself so I won't be much help. But I do like clean icons that are colorful. By clean I mean even if they have textures and text, they aren't overdone. Close crops (like #4) or icons with negative space (like #9) are fine.
