As I promised, here it is: my icon progression post. I think my icons went through a lot of changes through the year, but please see that for yourself. I would genuinely love to read your thoughts about it, be it compliments or constructive criticism as to where I started and where I am now. Thank you in advance!

Wow, your work has grown so much this year. I love when you started using softer tones.

Ooh, pretty! I love how your icons have developed this year, and I am jealous of your relationship with textures (both making and using them). Can't wait to see your work in 2012!

Its so interesting that as your texture use and blocking skills have been explored, the creativity and growth of complexity in your work has expanded. And I mean, clearly blocking is kind of related to complexity, but even the complexity of your texture use in more simple icons, like #55 & #60 is astounding. The softness of your icons has really come to the front in the latter half of the year as well, which I think is a little bit of trademark you. Definitely love the improvement and can't wait to see where 2012 takes you.

Your work has definitely gone through monumental changes this past year, Lex. It gets increasingly complex and elegant as the months go by.

You are such a creative icon maker. Your icons are never boring and they all look completely different which I absolutely love, because I even look at your posts when I'm not interested in the fandoms :)
