This still creeps me out, I've read it like 3 times already and it STILL CREEPS ME OUT!

I just love how she's subtle and yet so convincing, and because it's all from Beryl's POV, every line hits you with the fact that she's succeeding. As a reader I felt powerless because you can't even watch him struggle to fight her. You just see her trample all over him and that's so terribly SAD!!!!! Damn you woman! Damn your wonderful angsty powers of angst!
