That is seriously the longest post I've ever seen you make.
I agree wholeheartedly with number 8, which is why I wish people would talk more, or talk more about controversial things. I usually find it quite difficult to think about an idea without having talked about it at some point.
I think the whole support-group aspect is a big part of what you like about TKD. I often find it easier to put feelings into words around acquaintances rather than friends, since there's not as much pressure to remain within the realm of social acceptability.
You are definitely not a tool. (If you start wearing pastel striped shirts on a regular basis, we may have to reassess.) Dan is sort-of planning some sort of hiking excursion, which would be loads of fun on one of these 70-degree days we have upcoming. We'll see how that plays out, but you should come! Also, with regards to going out, today is Wednesday, and you know what that means.... :) I have not seen you in, like, a week!

The support-group aspect of TKD is typically not there. At least not in any sit down and talk about your feelings way I was referring to. I don't think I could handle that every week, but once every four years is nice. What I like about TKD is more that people try, which is something that is rarely seen in the world these days.

I don't think I was really thinking about it in a "let's talk about our feelings kind of way," just that you often seem to refer to it as a space in which you're comfortable, and can allow yourself to be comfortable.

Which is one of the reasons I like you. However, there are many people who do not. Or at least from my judgmental position, I don't like the way the try or perhaps the things they try for.
