Good Omens Drabble

Jan 23, 2009 00:09

Nevermind all the previous angst of the previous post. Here's a little Good Omens drabble that came from an email conversation with Kaysha, a convention friend for whom I'm creating Aziraphale and Crowley (plus Crawly) plushies.

Plushies leads to DFC, which leads to questions -

In your future plans for DFC, do you want to consider doing other cons in addition to those you do now? If yes, which ones?

And/or, are you thinking of adding additional products, and if so, what?

Curious mind (mine) would like to know.

All the Best, Peg

Here's the list I have right now of some of the cons we're thinking of doing. Not necessarily all of them every year, and I can only feasibly do a con a semester, but, well, meh....

Katsucon Feb 2009 Arlington, VA www.katsucon.com
Animazement May 2009 Raleigh, NC www.animazement.com
AnimeNEXT June 2009 Somerset, NJ www.animenext.com
Anime Mid-Atlantic June 2009 Hampton, VA (formerly Richmond) www.animemidatlantic.com
Otakon August 2009 Baltimore, MD www.otakon.com
AWA September 2009 Atlanta, GA www.awa-con.com
Nekocon November 2009 www.nekocon.com

As for products, we've got a few things cookin'. Notecards, valentines, and EVENTUALLY (if I can get Cat and D off their duffs) real comics that look nice, professionally printed, and all that jazz. I'd like to focus more on small prints and posters, because those are the more profitable. Most of the new ideas, though, are for plushies.

Why would you like to know, if I might ask?

What's your e-mail address? I've got some ideas
that might work along with what you're planning, and I'd like to brainstorm a bit, more directly.

I know you are feeling a lot more serious than this right now but I just had to tell you whenever I saw the first few lines of this entry, it made me think the following familiar statement:

"Nevermind the furthermore, the plea is self defense..."

Since you mention that, there's a song out right now that's called or is by "Bob Dobalina," a phrase which is used throughout the song. It's so cool.

I haven't heard it yet but i'll look for it and check it out. Interesting enough that somebody would take a seemingly meaningless track from a Monkees album and use it 40+ years later *LOL*
