"Let's make a deal," he said to the girl. The girl just stared at him in the creepy way he would never get used to. "You stop watching me and I won't tell yer brother."
River smirked. "Calculation indicates a twenty-three percent chance of girl being punished and an eighty-two percent chance Jayne will be punished if you tell."
Jayne frowned, not quite sure what she said but got the meaning behind it. Everything always turned around on him. "Fine. Tell me what you do want."
"Vera," she said calmly.
"No gorram way!" he shouted.
"Still watching you," she taunted.
