So I was supposed to be at work right now. Why am I here at home instead of earning a living? My work was robbed last night. The theives broke the drive-thru window, grabbed the whole safe that had been welded down (containing about $4000 we think plus the cash register's drawers and gift certificates), took down the shelves, and pulled out the fax ( Read more... )

**nods** And there was no reason to pull down the shelf or rip out the fax ribbon. That was just them being mean. And the cops left fingerprint dust all over the place. Funny thing is that they didn't fingerprint anyone. Shouldn't they do that to rule out the employee's fingerprints?

On the other hand, the destroyed office allowed us to do some cleaning and throw out some junk that the bosses have been keeping for no reason. They had instruction manuals from 1970s/1980s. My mom found one that was from 1990s that haven't even been opened. O_o We were all amazed that we actually had one from 2006! It shocked us. lol. And we wished they would have destroyed the cash registers. They are from 1970s or something, missing parts/dying on us (and no longer being made so we have to call someone special to fix them or do it ourselves), and one of them can't open because we're missing the key so we have a desk drawer for the money. I heard we are getting one new one, but I don't know if the robbery had anything to do with the decision.

Yeah, it was shocking. I thought a first I might have dreamed it all because I was still half asleep when I got the first phone call over it. I'm not sure how well they're going to deal with the office in shambles and most of the office stuff in the back kitchen/prep area tomorrow but the plan is to open normal store hours ( ... )

Yes, they are. I listen to a lot of different types of music, and about half of the tunes on my iPod is country. Surprisingly that I only had two country songs on here.
