I honestly think it's Sasuke. The lyrics make the most sense for him, and the fact that it would just be weird to do a NaruSaku ending with all the NaruHina going on atm. BUT, I don't think it really matters in the long run. The endings are created by the animators for the exact purpose of getting fans riled up like this. :/ They have no say in what direction Kishimoto takes his manga.

Still, I do love this ending. ;D Sakura was looking pretty cute with pigtails.

Well... that's obviously Sakura when she was a little girl. At that time she didn't really know Naruto or wasn't looking at him in anyway. The only person who I could imagine that she'd be interested in in that time would be Sasuke.

But be that as it may... paige0_o's right and it doesn't really matter anyway. Still... it's a pretty ending. <3

That's true. I really hope Kishimoto at least puts some more clues as to what about Sasuke that initial drew Sakura to like him. Maybe the anime team that either does the SS flashbacks in that second confession or when she faces Sasuke again might put something in there.

I hope so too. It would be nice if Sakura wasn't just falling in love with him because... well. Why did everyone else fall in love with him? But if I remember correctly Sakura was rather surprised that everyone was also in love with him, when she told her friends. Hmm... there are so many possibilities!

True! It's nice to have some sort of evidence that she didn't start crushing because it was the cool thing to do. And while I'd love to see how/when they met (or when she noticed him), I think she fell in love with him while they were on Team Seven together. :) So really, we got to see her falling in love. ^^

It is a bit annoying, but I understand why, that the animators didn't make it so bluntly obvious who that person beside Sakura is and there aren't a lot of people that could be there. The lyrics to me make up for the 'unknown figure' dismissing claims that it's Naruto - where's the whiskers? I wonder if this ED will be around for when Sakura is faced with the information about Sasuke's involvement with Killer Bee and Shikamarou's conversation with her.

I hope now with Sakura's love being shown to not waver even with Sasuke in this condition, the whole "NaruSaku fanservice" will come to a hault as it seems to be taken as canon over what occurs in the actual manga - unless it's SS related, then it's "just filler". Though I doubt the overuse of Sakura hitting Naruto won't, I just wished some people didn't think that's all she does.

Anyways, I loved the song and the beautiful animation.

It would definitely fit! It also makes me wonder why they chose to put this ending in now? Sakura doesn't really have much of a role at the moment (unless she did more in the anime. I haven't really been following it). Albeit she's about to, but... if I'm remembering correctly, that's still quite a few episodes away. P:

May be that it is close, for they put the ED. Remember the fight Sasuke VS Itachi? God, it took a century in the manga and anime was so fast! o_o"

Yeah, that's true. I don't keep up with the anime, but when I heard Hinata's confession was coming up I was suprised. I thought the anime was further back then that, though it is still far back since the manga has hit chapter 500.

...Just wished there wasn't so many filler episodes (I will always love the failed attempts to unmask Kakashi, one of my top few fillers that I enjoyed) and that they just took a hiatus until it was time to get back on track.

The lyrics, are definitely Sakura -> Sasuke, like DUH, lol.
And, even if we have to go with tech details, i think even if it was Naruto /the lyrics would be weird if it was for him btw/ the whiskers or their shadows would be obvious.
So yeah, it is for Sasuke and it is a very beautiful ED. Nice song, nice setting, nice-all. 8D

some of MY evidences that it MIGHT be a SasuSaku ED again...

-the "unknown kid" doesn't have any whiskers. so it's not Naruto (i wish).

-animators of "Naruto" often accompany ED and OP songs with the episodes (eg: "Long Kiss Good Bye" due to Asuma and Kurenai, and "Jitensha" due to Hinata's brave appearance recently) so I think this'll be a tribute for the future episodes we've all been (waiting) dying to see

-it looks like a continuation of "My Answer" by Seamo, because of the beach setting and the hat (this doesn't look like an evidence...)

-i get the feeling "Naruto" animators are huge fans of SasuSaku XD

-there's no way Sakura would have another ED theme with Naruto in it (unless it's friendship genre. but I repeat: the "kid" doesn't have any whiskers, right?)

-the lyrics are perfect for them~ (similar to chapter 208, remember?)

...well, these are just my humble and simple opinions. that's all.

PS: SasuSaku RULES!! XD

I agree with most of your points! I also thought it was a continuation of SEAMO, the lyrics really speak about Sakura's feelings too. I'm so happy to see a Sakura ED again ♥

That's right! It is rather a continuation, because in "My Answer" everyone is on the beach, and it is late. Now, in this ED, when it gets dark, everyone went home, and Sakura was the only one who remained on the beach, remembering her past. I think that "SasuSaku" written in the sand makes much more sense now. She was thinking of him, and the "apex" came at night with fireworks (As a sequel, it seems that the animators wanted to do this since them launched "My Answer"). My God, I was super happy with this ED! *_*

PS.: Yeah, SasuSaku RULES! \o\
