Aww, I hope your clematis forgives you! I was unhappy this year because our new neighbors decided to cut the native clematis on our shared fence back. It woudn't have been too bad but it's not a solid fence so they basically butchered my clematis while it was flowering :( I know they didn't mean to (they are thoughtful neighbors).
