As always when we (bwitched83uk and I) write together, we're amazed at the easyness with which we fit together in a universe and at how natural everything seems to come to us when writing. This is amazing! There is so much tenderness and caring in Viggo. Lately I am a bit reluctant to read BDSM stories, they all seem to be so much about hurting and humiliation of the sub and that doesn't turn me on at all. I am really looking forward to this, I've noticed that there are 44 chapters.
I wonder how long Viggo will be able not to fall in love with Orlando ;-)

We talked about this when we planned the plot for this story, you know, and both agreed that we both don't enjoy extreme humiliation at all. There's a few prompts that point in that direction, so we had to find some way to make them work for us and still be honest to the prompts (which I think we have). I do have read some bdsm stories in which humiliation was made extremely hot, but we decided to go with what we enjoy in the first case will be much easier for us to write in a hot way about. Tenderness and caring are big parts of that. I think it's a common misconception by some (certainly not all!) people who write BDSM fics that leads to some stereotypes of S/d coming up over and over again. It's sad, because there's really so more to that, and S/d doesn't have to be dark at all.
