My thoughts exactly.

Don't you dare ever read this to my (girl? fling? continuing obsession?), Adam. Shane Koyczan almost stole her away as is. Wowza.

aww (blushes) thanks. there's no danger; i haven't seen her at any local slams, and i doubt i will. though if you want us to get to know each other better, you can have her come down and check out some local slam action.

And she will, undoubtedly. It was cool to see someone go down the EXACT SAME ROAD as I did with regards to appreciating performance poetry. (She's an ex-theatre rat, retired as of a few years ago, but Nationals lit her fire right back up.) (Ahem.)

Come to think of it, could you send a list of good mikes in the area that I could forward over to her?

that avocado i had for dinner sure was yummy~ the depression where the pit comes out...just invites a tongue.
only qualm~the word probing~right there with lapping shores of apexes.
otherwise, very hot.

PS. Thanks for the moment to brown-eyed girls. We don't get much. And if I could have had it on the second night, I would have. YOU guys did that. :) And I didn't read at all, either, Drag.

But I'd give up reading x3 just to hear this. I printed it out. It's going up on the wall in my house.

now there's a REAL slam poem. favorite:

I could make a little loveseat of you.
I will rip the summer out of the sky
and paint it on your inner lips like
a boiling distortion.
Tonight I’m a snowman burning
in your doorway.
Tonight I’m the engine kissing
into the pavement because
someone in the cab said the road knew your name.

the rest I could do without, but I bet hearing it outloud is amazing. I'm not one for 'pussy'.... but that's just personal.

i like your selectiveness. i used to be afraid of 'pussy', but i was turned around by a lot of feminists and lovers of word sounds. i think it teeters on the line between sexy and too much. to use it right...

my vag is not a cat.
it may act like a cat.
but is not.

no idea how cunt evolved. but I prefer not calling names and just action. active v passive. that sort of thing.

a spring is not Spring. i'm just sayin. i don't know the etymology, but i do so like its smoothness, and the percussive start. i also quite like the word vagina, but in different context. sometimes calling names is an action. i'd even say it is often.
