Great plan!

I do watch X Factor, but usually record it so I can fast forward most of the guff. I find it's good to watch with my 6 month old as there's no swearing or plot and gives me a break from Balamory and Peppa Pig!

As I say it's my problem with the X Factor and I can understand why you you watch it.
