Jesus! What a bunch of idiots! What kind of tech support doesn't install, check, and double check anti-virus software?

Oh my God, you guys should totally check the office bank account. If you've done banking in the interim and there was a Trojan or keystroke logger on there, it could have been emptied by now! If you've done personal banking on that computer, call your bank and change the passwords. I had my entire account wiped out to the last cent at Christmas six years ago because of a keystroke logger.

Don't be embarrassed, none of it is your fault. The techies, however, should hang their heads in shame.

Contact Twitter and tell them it's been rectified. They should connect your account again if they know it's now safe.

((hugs))

Wow, I thought *our* IT guys were incompetent.

I have no suggestions for solving your hardware problem, but as for your writing - I think you would be safe writing in Google docs and saving your stories to Google drive. Then you can access them from any computer and not worry about transfering files from one computer to another.
