This week two DVDs were released that I really want to buy BUT cannot because I don't have the ca$h. The Dark Crystal AND The Host were both released on two-disk editions that are calling out my name. Naturally, I had to pay out nearly $700 of my own cash to have my car fixed, so I couldn't buy those movies when I had the chance. The

I love Dark Crystal. I have it on DVD so how is this version different? And there really is a sequel coming out next year? I am excited!

This version of Dark Crystal is the 25-year anniversary 2-disk edition that has extra interviews. The movie was also digitally remastered with improved sound and picture. It also has all of the other extras that were on the first DVD release, I believe.

The reason I am excited about this sequel is because the people who were involved with the first movie are involved with this sequel -- except Jim Hanson. That is very exciting. I remember seeing Dark Crystal in the theater and it remains one of my favorites. I plan on going out to buy the movie today. Thanks for the tip :-)

It was so hard to find a copy of the DVD. Target didn't have it, Best Buy only got 4 copies and they didn't have it, Circuit City isn't carrying it, so where do I go... Walmart and they had it. The quality is excellent by the way.
