I am seeing a trend towards 1=2 and 2x1 in GW, compared to the predominant 1x2 as before, and I am loving it. As equals or with Duo dominant makes so much more sense to me, and I'm so glad the fandom is all starting to move away from 1x2.

This is how I like them, so very *male*, snarky with each other, Heero capable of pretty much anything, and

I guess it was more a comment about Gundam Wing than HP, and I haven't read Harry/Draco in ages so I don't have much of an argument for you :) I do care about dom and sub when the sub is written as 'the girl', which is seen much too often in GW, with the long-haired, pretty-boy being the bottom - pretty much het masquerading as slash, bleh. It's good to see some more equality, is all.

I too think that Harry and Draco can both give as good as they get, and stories that show this are the ones I rate the highest. But with Draco seen as very pretty, being bottom just opens up too much of an opportunity for authors to make Draco girly. But of course, it's all based on the author; good authors can write pretty much anything and make it work, whereas the bad ones tend to write characterisations that really rub me the wrong way.

Hrm... I'm partial to both 1x2 and 2x1. But I think I can really see 2x1 now the more I think about it. It makes more sense... XD

I guess it's not so much about Duo being dom, but as Duo being *male*, being on an equal level with Heero. 1x2 tends to make Heero much too dominant for my liking :)
