I am pretty much guaranteed to always be a day late and a dollar short, but even I stumble onto contemporary happenings, mostly through reading blogs, and I discovered that today is Star Wars Day

I remember watching the first Star Wars movie in the cinema too.

By the way, have you see this? It's the most wonderfully silly idea and very well executed. Who would have thought that a mashup of Sergeant Pepper and Star Wars could work so well?

I never got into Star Wars fandom, but I was always pleased it was there.

Yeah, I didn't either--though I enjoyed a couple of fanfics, especially the late seventiesy ones by Maggie Nowakowska, who gave us a poly and gay friendly SW universe.
