East Coast achieved

So I'm here, waiting for friends to come back from seeing a play in order to pick me up. I'm early, and we all expected me to be late. Like my arrival at Chicago--I had a perfect afternoon planned with interesting people, but the train in was so late due to an engine blow up at Grand Junction and an engine shuffle in Denver that I got hustled off ( Read more... )

That planking fad really did spread everywhere.

The prairie dog looks like he's doing a plank--supporting himself with straight arms and legs, with back straight. Good for the core muscles. Maybe he'll do Warrior One next.

I guess all prairie dogs are dramatic, aren't they?

guppiecat has a whole series of photosets with prairie dogs performing the works of William Shakespeare.

(Whereas meerkats perform the works of Marlowe.)

I never did hear where in VT you're going to be. I'll wave from our general direction. The colors, at least all thr way up here, are at peak, but are more muted than usual. We think it's due to the warm weather and lack of rain. But still very pretty.

That was because I didn't know! We are off to Brattleboro in a couple hours, and some nifty hikes are planned. I am going where I am pointed--I know I will love it!

I'm waving south at you, then. We're about 1.5 hrs north of Brattleboro as the crow flies. Given that my right knee decided to go out on me this morning, and it's even worse now tonight (and I was resting it), it's probably for the best you went hiking with healthy people!

Ouch! I hope it heals soon!

We hit the trails soon as we got into town, and will be doing so again soon as the sun is up.

The prairie dog!! What a wonderful shot! I'd hoped to see one, but didn't. I liked the pale rabbits around the hotel, though.

So glad you got to meet Gambit. The shot of Gambit and his human is beautiful of both.

The fan language skit session was so much fun! It was inspired idea, and everyone's skits were hilarious. I really loved *all* the panels, roundtables, and presentations, but yours was unique in the way it got us all up and involved, and I think that's inspired.

I agree about Yoon's talk--I kept on wanting to have this person or that in the room to hear, as I know several people who would have loved it.

Process talk is so amazing, isn't it? How differently our brains approach story?

I can't use a pc to write- it has to be pen and paper at least in the early stages.

So call me old fashioned.......
