yes, I find it wonderful to watch in my grand niece, you can see the wheels turning in her head at times, and how she gets to point B as it were. I try not to question her choice in books but I do ask what she likes about the book ... not tear it down by my standards. The pink covers just kill me.

I read any number of books as a child that I'd describe as 'literary cotton candy.' Because sometimes I just wanted to be entertained. I still do. And cotton candy has its place--in moderation!
