A few of you might occasionally check out the blog posts I make every Sunday at Book View Cafe. Coming up with those is a challenge, at least for me, so I thought I'd put a question to those folks: is there anything you would like to see me talk about?

I sympathize with this! I only write one a month for another site, and still I find my mind a blank as I contemplate what to write.

I'd love to hear tales of writing while parenting young children. I didn't try this, but many do--lots of people on my friends list are parents and writers. Not necessarily advice, but even just anecdotes, or moments when you had a realization of some sort or another, or something funny happened. Or--anything. ... But that's just one blog post.

Things about second worlds? Issues of them? Exploring second worlds seems like it has the possibility for multiple posts, if you focused on just one element at a time.

If I get more ideas I'll come back.

I've also heard of a mother who managed to write her book only after firing her nanny.

Imagine having a nanny! We couldn't even afford a babysitter.

I read your Sunday BVC posts religiously -- and I love your choice of topics. Which is probably not very helpful, but I hope it's at least a bit encouraging.

Let's see...

I really enjoy the ones that are about writing. And the ones about history and literature. And I especially liked the one about childhood goals.

Let me second the history-and-lit thread. Interesting books that provoke worthwhile thoughts are always good to know about.

I love hearing you write about books you've read, books you love, books you are influenced by. Books you have written.

Wow! That's a lot of suggestions, thanks!

I've too recently learned to stop boring people talking about my writing, so I won't do that in public blogs, only at Athanarel, but there are some other things there that will spark some ideas--thanks!
