If you've got one square in the midst of this, and there are signs that other agents are saying the same thing, then just hold onto it. You know how the pendulum swings.
I do, and fortunately I was trying to decide between next writing a novel involving fae and one NOT involving anything in those categories, so that helps make that decision easier, actually. The one I just finished and will be getting ready for market involves gods, but is not YA and not anything like most of what's out there, so...I may be good. Or not. Time will tell.
While it's dangerous to project one single agent's current wants and not-wants list onto everybody, it does sound like you're not hitting squarely in the zeitgeist. Good!
It also sounds like she does not deal specifically with genre writers. She wants more contemporary fiction and narrative memoirs, for example. I still like the genre and am more than happy to read about what she does not want to see as long as it is well-written and entertaining.

People have been "sick to death" of vampires for as long as I've been online, and it hasn't seemed to hurt them any.
Not that I'm writing a book with vampires in it, or anything. *cough*
