Gotham has finally *clicked* with me. Arrow is not a good show IMO mostly because Oliver is a dick. I stick around for his crew, who are good value, but I have my computer in front of me.
Agents of Shield was just dull until about 1.17 when Avengers Civil War came out and everything went to hell in that universe and the best twist ever happened where the boring as shit white male lead character turned out to be a Hydra plant.. EVen then we all assumed that the flashbacks to his shitty childhood and being groomed by a Hydra agent meant he would be redeemed, but no, he kept on getting more epically evil. At a con there were a bunch of fans proclaiming they were on Team Wade, and the actor who plays him was like, 'dudes, wtf, the guy is a literal Nazi'

I'm actually the opposite when i comes to sticking with shows that have turned bad for me. I will (un)happily call it quits and move on to the next billion shows waiting for me to, Occasionally I'll come back to a show after been repeatedly assured that whatever season has come good again, and then I just start from where it got good again (I've grown out of the fannish completist compulsion. Like GoT just last weekend.
And nowadays we're spoilt, more genre shows than it's humanly possilbe to watch (if i want to be able to pay bills). I sometimes give up after the pilot, and don't make it past a few eps on many more.
