Person of interest

Now that my Hannibal obsession has waned (to manageable levels) I have been catching up on other shows.

Person of Interest was once my primary fandom, when it was all about Harold and John and Bear and Carter and Fusco. Harold/John was my OTP but Carter was my fave character, so when they ( did that thing )

Yeah, as much as I loved Carter and was so sad to see her go, I wondered where all the love suddenly came from. And Carter was awesome, but Harold totally saved John. Remember all those repeated 'you gave me a purpose' refrains? That was Harold, not Joss Carter. Who was far too busy raising a kid and being badass to get involved with John's manpain!

I was so gutted that they killed Root - I can see why and it made sense and apparently that had always been planned for her, whereas the Root/Shaw relationship apparently was something they created after the amazing chemistry between the actresses - but even so. So sad. And John, dying his heroic death and conspiring with the Machine to save Harold...again, made so much sense even as it broke my heart.

And that line about John being on borrowed time and the alternate history where he hadn't met Harold and his body had washed up on the river bank *cries*

I wonder why they thought shoehorning in a last minute doomed romance between the characters was a good idea, they'd done so well establishing a relationship of mutual respect and friendship, and then it was like that wasn' t enough manpain for him? I did read that the kiss was Jim Caviezel's idea. *SIGH*

I didn't know the Root/Shaw relationshipwas due to the actors' chemistry, that is so cool :)

I'm being utterly silly about the end of POI in that I still can't bring myself to watch the final episode, despite already being thoroughly spoiled for it.

I completely understand, omg. The last scene with Harold and John is so sad. It is a suitably epic ending to their story though. Did you get spoiled for the last words Harold says to John?

No, but my sister says it made her cry. I am not sure my heart could take it. (insert crying emoticon here)

The whole final season was too dark and gritty for me. I watch TV to have fun, not to spend my time wondering who's going to die.
