Yes, I felt exactly the same way about the latter - although over here we did at least have some warning that it was going to happen. The new guy does look as if he's going to be okay, but I must admit I'm less enthusiastic than I would have been if the original was staying.

Yes, my excitement for it has gone, but I am hopeful the new guy will work out, I thought he was great in Easy Virtue.

I just started watching the latter programme three days ago on my parents' recommendation, binge-watched through two seasons in a couple of days. I knew what was going to happen but couldn't not watch the new episode online yesterday. Now, despite having seen 16 episodes I still feel like I knew him only three days and then he was gone T_T

I love binge watching, getting completely absorbed in a show and the characters. Does make it over too quickly, especially when there isn't much.
