Can you make them put in wordcounts too? I have found that I will often judge whether I can read something or not based on how long it's going to take me to read.

I am tired.

I don't understand why people wouldn't provide warnings for well-known triggers, particularly in the non-spoilery matching text and background option.

As in, I completely fail to understand why someone would not warn.

Because of their ARTISTIC INTEGRITY.

And also, as my absolute favourite commenter said about putting warnings on so people can choose not to read the fic - if you're not going to read my fic anyway, what have I got to lose (by NOT putting them on)

The idea of using lj-cuts for the warnings is probably a good one. That one hadn't occurred to me.

I've been thinking about it for a while, given that I've always believed warnings are non-negotiable, but still get that some people regard them as spoilers.
