I'm actually a fan of Guinness and other very dark brews. This has in the past confused bartenders, as I apparently look too petite and girly for such drinks :-)
I drink several different styles of beer, but I am not particularly fond of standard Australian Lager. I like Pilsener in summer, stouts or or other darker beers in winter, ales just about any time. I prefer something locally brewed, but only if it is good. I prefer something draft if I can get it.
All beer, all the time, except if it's something else alcoholic. :)
I like anything BUT very dark beers (and certain really crap American beers). Dark British beers including Guinness have a lovely sweetness that is destroyed by ocean transport. :(
Showed it to DB, and neither of us recognise it. Sometimes the Beeb use invented labels, to avoid being accused of advertising, because they aren't allowed. Maybe it is that?
I don't know much about local beer in Wales, which is pretty rubbish of me as I go camping there most years! They seem to have lots of microbreweries just like they do all over the UK - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_beer for a list of breweries. The supermarkets stock the same brands as in England - local beers tend to be ales, and an average sort of blue collar bloke probably drinks lager - ie the aforementioned Stella.
I went out to dinner the other night and they didn't stock any of my favourite beers so I chose a Stella based on this post and it...didn't really taste like anything much.

That said, I don't drink beer often, and I don't think I've tried Kilkenny.
