your words are English and appear to go together.

YES, YES I WAS EXPECTING KITTENS AND HOPE AND REBUILDING AND NOT MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER BEING CUT INTO PIECES.

Is it good? It hasn't really crossed my radar. I'm willing to be pimped to. *g*

You know, I actually did about 15 years ago! Which is how know all about the Robins. By which of course I mean I vaguely remember bits.

Have you got the comics to lend me?

Um, no. Bye.

Thank you for this. If a writer can't be arsed to have her stories edited, let alone proofread/spellcheck them herself, then I sure as hell can't be arsed to read them.

I have to be pretty desperate to click on an unbeta'd fic at all. *g* But to not even reread, if she doesn't care about her fic, why should I?

Well, exactly. And yet? That's the prevalent attitude I've been seeing around LJ lately -- that every story is a valid form of art, and every writer an artist, no matter how bad their writing, and I'm sorry I just don't agree with that. Remember the scene in The Incredibles where Helen tells Dash to hide his abilities, saying "Everyone is special," and Dash mutters, “Which is another way of saying no one is special.” That's how this strikes me. There *is* such a thing as talent, and some people don't have it as far as writing goes.

Good point!

I haven't really come across that as much as people who are still in, or never got past, the "precious snowflake" stage of learning to write.
