Beautiful. Just...beautiful. Especially the CoN one. Funny how I never realised how many parallels there are between the brothers. Oh, I knew there were some, but not how /many/. Thank you.

Thank *you* for reading! The parallels really are startling, aren't they? I think they both have elements of Susan and Lucy in them, and I'm sure Sam would never have thought he was capable of doing what Edmund did, but boy....

Of course Cas has met 'Jack'. And I never really paused to think about how much the two sets of brothers have in common. No matter which version of the movie, I still like reading the books best. Besides being off in my own world, my fondest memories come from reading out them out loud on car trips, or being at camp in college and having parts of them read out loud. Of sourse it helped that the leadership camp we went to had a trail named Narnia...

The books will always, always be best. :) But I happened to be watching LWW while I was down with the same virus I gave Dean and was still teetering on the edge of getting into the fandom, and the parallels jumped out at me and made me think that Sam and Dean really needed to see it. :D

Yes; I was thinking about Sam and Dean when I caught part of LWW on TV not long ago. There are miracles in books for certain, and when we read, we may be entertaining the thoughts of angels, unawares.

I come at Narnia from an angle. (And "this angel unawares" was the closing phrase of a Zenna Henderson story for me long before I read the original.) I'm Jewish and very much aware when reading of the places our religions diverge; I'm a progressive liberal, and can't help seeing where our politics is at odds. But kindness and forgiveness can be found in Narnia, and deserve to be honored.
