If you have or are going to have children in the public school system in Washington, you'll want to check this out. Actually, if you even give a crap about what your neighbors' -or anyone's- kids are learning you'll want to take a look at this.

It sheds a lot more light on how a 22 year old waitress at the Hurricane Cafe could work a Friday night, and owe money at the end of her shift(think back to how busy it was in 2000,). She is THAT bad at math. Peyton fired her for suspision of theft when it didn't stop, and I tried to get her to let me tutor her in math. She refused. It's sad, because things like this are more common than most would think.

How can we trust a system that gives diplomas to grads that can't add and subtract? It's one of the reasons I want my son in a private school.
