Yup. We get the big bottles at whole foods. They rock.

I buy Trader Joe's organic brands of dairy whenever possible. I never cared for homogenized and ultra-pasterized, though I admit that was almost always a taste and flavor issue than health.

Can you FIND unhomogenized milk? I haven't outside of the farmer's market.

Whole Foods carries at least one brand in Washington.

You can sometimes find it at local co-ops (and even Whole Paycheck), some of which are even starting to carry raw milk recently. And as I said before, Trader Joe's name brand is pretty damn good, just avoid their non-organic versions of it.

Granted, most of us didn't want to know that. Sorry, folks.

I sort of already knew that - that it was bad for you, even if I didn't remember exactly why - but no, I didn't really want to be reminded. ;p Especially because there's nowhere nearby we can get it from that I know of (your beloved have any ideas?), unless, of course, the Sunflower Shop uptown is willing/able to order some in. Anyway, I guess it's just another excuse to wean myself off the dairy as much as possible, though doing low-carb without dairy is a *bitch*.

Stop fucking poisoning people. You too, 'Organic' companies.

Amen to that. It's bad enough you can't trust that something is safe to eat just because it's carried in a grocery store, particularly given how much junk food they sell. But when it's not only something we're encouraged to ingest for our health, but then the organic version, which is supposed to be so much better, is nearly as bad for you, it's just really frustrating.

At least we still have our beloved CHEESE!

My first thought is if there's a dairy within 30 miles of your place, if so, call and ask them where they sell their wares.

I would've thought it'd be a lot easier to get unhomogenized milk in England. Silly me.

...scratch that, Mike says England doesn't homogenize their milk.

I'm about to start filling in comment cards for all the grocery stores I shop at and tell them to start carrying it.

I am aghast at the organic folk, people pretty much expect organic to taste 'weird', I get so POSTAL when I see homogenized organic milk. I'll be writing them, too.

It also pisses me off that its ME doing this. I'm a fucking web designer/blogger. I'm not the FDA or the Organic Standards people, or any health administration, Fuck, I'm not even a health nut. I weight 230 pounds for chrissake!
I eat pasta and cheese and meat, and I'm nagging these people for not giving me a healthy alternernative...Which, btw, consists of ELIMINATING a process in food preparation ( ... )

Really, England doesn't homogenize their milk?? Weird, cuz I just checked, and our milk says 'homogenised' on the label. I'll have to see whether any of these places are near enough, though even if they aren't, there's liable to be a farm or dairy nearby which has it and just doesn't happen to be on the 'Net. Guess I'll have to do a bit of research ( ... )
