First a brief note for those who miss me (*g* sounds nicer than to say: who are waiting for a post, doesn't it?): modem is a good modem and went back to work after 5 phone calls to the support service

Lord, I used to adore them. 101 is indeed a fantastic album and I've seen them once - at the Forum in Los Angeles before they tore it down. They sang their first number behind a large white sheet that covered the whole stage; they were backlit and it was just the silhouettes. Awesome stuff.
Everything Counts and Blasphemous Rumors are my favorite songs, although A Question of Lust is pretty damn awesome too. So glad you enjoyed it! I would agree with you on Dave Gahan; I wouldn't kick him out of my bed either. ;)
No, it was ... gods, I can't remember what album, but it was around 1993 or so. At the Forum in downtown LA. The only show I've ever been to with a movie being filmed was U2's Rattle and Hum at the Tarrant County convention center in Dallas. That was awesome.
And sign me up. *winks* Just let me know where and when. *laughs*

FANTASTIC!!! I am so glad that you were able to see them again! You sound just like I sound about U2 *laughs* But I have listened to DM for as long as you have, just not as much as I was into U2. People Are People represents so much to a wide range of people everywhere does it not? I have to agree with Ashley on 'A Question of Lust' being pretty awesome. 'Stripped' is one of my personal favorites as well. I have most all of their CD's and like you said, can't think of any tracks that I don't like. Personal Jesus certainly defines the band for me *laughs*
Thank you for the details from the concert as well. I am embarrassed to admit that I have never seen them live. *hides*
I hope you do not have to get up too early and I am sure you are quite glad the modem works again. *g* I had my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Must have been the toes crossing that did the work then! *g* Thank you, dear.
I remember it had always been kind of a fight between us Depechies and the U2 fans. I think this will never stop *laughs* And I still have friends I am discussing this thing: DM or U2, Dave or Bono, People Are People or Where The Streets have No Name?
A Question Of Lust is an awsome song, I am just not that much into the songs Martin Gore sings. I prefer the powerful voice of Dave Gahan but no need to discuss if the song itself is great. Stripped... they sang the song last night too and the whole crowd invited Dave with a loud 'Let me see you stripped down the the bone' to strip indeed. Sadly he did not follow the instructions.
If you will ever have the chance to see them live - go and see them. It is worth it (I know you could tell me the same about U2 *laughs*)
Getting some more sleep now and see if I can finish that post today finally.
DM! I saw them sometime in the the early to mid 90's, they played a summer concert here. The first song they opened with was "Stripped" (love that song!). I don't remember who opened for them though, but I probably have the tickets stub somewhere. Now I'll have to go dig it up to satisfy my curiosity!
Oooohh, "Never Let Me Down" is one of my favorite songs from them. But then again most of what you mentioned in your post were some of my favorites.(i.e. "World In my Eyes", "Question of Time", "It's No Good", etc.)
Sounds like you had a wonderful time and the photos are great!
Glad to see a post from you, and I hope your modem doesn't flake out on you again!

I love the message that Blasphemous Rumors delivers.
Well, join me and Dave then. I am sure we can find a bed that is big enough for us three *winks*
Take care,
Your Knight.
