Elisabeth Sladen Picspam Tribute

There are many occasions when I hate the demands that real life makes on me - and this is one of those times. Ever since I heard the news of Elisabeth Sladen's death on the train this Wednesday morning, I'd thought about making a huge picspam tribute to her. The tribute has been made but because of real life, it's much shorter than I'd originally

A lovely tribute--thank you for creating and sharing it. How terrible that she is gone. Not sure what to say except that we should be grateful for the joy she brought to so many people over so many years.

Indeed! It's a highly comforting thought that we can always go back to the DVDs and commentaries and remember her for what a lovely person she was...

Damn! More tears! Just when I think I'm getting a bit better I realize I'm totally not. Those were all lovely. I don't know how you made it through creating them because I'd have simply been a mess.

I posted two fan videos dedicated to her at Raspberry World as the Videos of the Week. The first one I still cry through but I'm not sobbing anymore. The second one I still find myself clenching my hands through but laughing at a bit in the middle. Both of them are better than the CBBC tribute, I think.

So I'm getting there. Maybe I'll be able to watch some of her episodes again soon. Without, you know, completely embarrassing myself.

I've bookmarked them to check out later when I have proper internet. My home phone + internet connection has been cut, probably by our neighbour, and my parents don't seem to be in much of a rush to call the phone company and sort it out...

The CBBC tribute wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Have you seen Babelcolour's tribute?

I've heard that BBC4 will be repeating Hand of Fear, which is really wonderful of them. As with yourself, I still haven't had the courage to rewatch some of the old episodes...
