When I saw the subject of this fic, I very nearly skipped over it. I'm not a huge AU person, and werewolves have *never* done it for me (nor vampires or anything like that sort of stuff
( ... )
God, I love this comment. I mean... *squishes it - and you*... It's just... wow.
I mean, if there's one thing that having written this story has taught me, it's that Everybody Has An Opinion On Werewolves (*grins*) because it's such a... cliché! I mean, I remember reading the prompt for the first time and thinking, "oh, fat chance that one will get filled," but then I kept coming back to it. And then the whole premise basically strolled into my head and demanded to get written.
I'm just incredibly flattered that you'd give the story a chance. And I'm so thrilled at your comments - especially that you liked my narrative style, because I've worked hard to get it where it is and it's still a work in progress.
I did post a link to this story at kirk-mccoy, but it was a few minutes after this whole thing was posted, so... I don't know if you saw it?
And just... thank you. Thanks for the compliments. I'm sitting here blushing like crazy, reading them :D I'm glad you enjoyed the story!
As for a sequel... it's not on the books at the moment. I have an outtake or two knocking around in my head, and possibly a timestamp!fic, though, so who knows what'll happen ;)
This was a real pleasure to read. I wasn't sure when I saw the topic of the prompt, but you really made this idea work. Also, I liked that Kirk wasn't "weak" because he was the purely human one (compared to McCoy, Uhura and Spock).
Well, I'm glad you liked it, and gave it a shot, even if you had misgivings about the prompt.
And... yeah, someone pointed out that I could've made Kirk a weak link because he doesn't have anything "extra" like the rest, but... it's really not the way I think, and I'm pretty sure it's not the way Kirk thinks, either ;)
Now I only hope the rest of my work will pass muster ;)
