Happy Racktober!
NaNoWriMo is next month and I'm kicking myself and calling myself a failure because all I can do is find excuses to not work on my manuscript. I've editied a movie script, read a TV script and am finding myself practically green with envy of my friends who are making things happen for themselves. For the last few years, we've had a visitor to our lab named Bob. The boss' turtle. He would arrive shortly after the holidays and stay for a few months to semi-hibernate. I say semi because he really didn't fully hibernate, since the boss would check on him every day, feed him, make sure there was water in his dish and talk science to him.

Vampires vs. Werewolves
Driving home from La Jolla in 5 o’clock traffic gives your mind time to wander. And since it’s October, my mind wandered to the topic of vampires.
