As far we're we're concerned? Not overreacting.

Some notes:

The beginning of the video shows the front door to the Alliant Tower. There is absolutely nowhere in town that they could've gotten that footage except from the roof of my building.

If you ask me, this flood was every bit as bad and traumatizing as the hurricanes. People lost their homes, businesses...the town is changed forever. How is that not the same? Only reason you don't get any news coverage is cause you didn't complain. You did everything you could, and once the water was gone just picked up and started moving on.

But no, those 10 feet of water? That's not newsworthy at all.

No worries about the update, hon. I still have movie reviews from six months ago I haven't written down yet, and um, yeah, methinks a flood is a bit more time-consuming and upsetting than a movie. You'll update us all on how this is affecting you when you get a chance. I'm patient :)

This video is insane. My god.

Holy crap. I knew it was bad, but, you can't comprehend the damage until you've seen it for yourself. This was a complete failure on part of the media. Shutterloubug is right--this is every bit as bad as a hurricane. Perhaps worse, simply for the fact that people who live in the Gulf Coast know the risks. They don't like it, or want it, but they know the possibility. You didn't. Shame on the media.
