Mmm, I feel your pain. I hate storms and I hate summer. Not a good combination. People wonder why I look forward to autumn and winter with such glee. It's cold, crisp, and happy. At least in the South. Not sure about y'all folks up North. LOL.

BTW, I'm having issues with my DSL at the modem so if you don't hear from me for a while, that's why. I guess I'll have to make due with my connection at work for a little while. Grrr. It may be time to look into cable modems.

I LOVE fall. It's my favorite. I think I was born in a hoodie, because one of the reasons I love fall is that I'm more comfortable in the sweaters I wear year round. :) Winter... I like winter, I just don't like having to travel in the snow. I'm a coat person, so from about mid-October til Marchish (well, May this year), I'm happy. :)

Sad. :( What's it doing? We have surprisingly decent DSL for being in the country. Except for when they randomly change settings on their end and don't tell us or when the power goes out every other day. :D

It is a 9 PM and this is the first time I've had a chance to get online since 5 AM. Why? Because my ISP came to my house last month to run a homerun line and ever since I've had nothing but problems including losing my dial tone *twice* due to incompetent tech people.

To make a very long story short, I've been battling with them since last week because my modem is constantly out of sync. After doing the troubleshooting myself (which we won't get into ), I figured out that the homerun line was picking up AM radio signals. Not my regular phone lines, just that line, and it's throwing my modem out of sync from 6.30 AM to 9 or 10 at night. Every day. I'm tired. They're supposed to be coming out tomorrow and AT&T are supposed to be coming out on Wednesday to do something about it. I'm ready to scream.

That's weird. I've never heard of that happening. No wonder you're thinking of shifting to cable modem.

And AT&T. Pshaw, no wonder. We're having so many problems with them, with work. They wanted us to wait a month to run their connections out to our temporary office. Never mind that we had to get up and running as soon as possible because not only do we insure millions of dollars in real and personal property throughout the country, we have a large number of claims from the flood itself. Now we're switching to Qwest when we move back and AT&T is pissed and won't return any of the IT guys' calls or meet up with them because they know we're not renewing our contract and they're peeved about it.
