This just feels like a dull, persistent ache, and there's nothing to be done about it other than endure. I like how Ianto doesn't swoop in and try to make things better. He just lets Jack be, yet reminds Jack that he's there.

Hope you feel better. There's always the new year to look forward to.

Wow. That was really good. I love pensive Jack. I also love the little detail with the dry mouth, because yes, I also think this would be much worse than dying and dying again.

And just when I thought there never can be so many gulls you said that he was counting the same ones again and again. Heh!
