With LJ allowing a-la-carte userpics now, they had some billing things that needed to be fixed up... so they're allowing people to change how they want to distribute the amount of packets they pay for--can be done at any time, etc., etc. More pics for less time so that if you only purchased one packet (say... for a year), you can have it be like you purchased the 210 packet but for less time. Then at the time of renewal, you pay the amount in full for the 210 pics *if* you want to keep them like that. Or you can purchase another one-year 70 pics packet and change it to 210 pics for the 8 months of w/e that they shorten it to.
