Hey. I work at a law school. It's only the BAD lawyers you hear about, there are more nice ones.

To be fair to the legal profession, I know one former attorney and have personally dealt with two others, one patent and one business. All three are perfectly reasonable people. So I do know that there are fine, upstanding legal eagles out there. My friend, the ex-divorce lawyer, left the practice because he didn't enjoy ripping into one half of a failed marriage. But there are those that either don't mind or enjoy it, too.

When I was in college, I had a friend who was a grad student in linguictics. I took a basic linguistics class, and one time Frank helped with a couple of the problems in my homework. He helped me, but his explanations were almost over my head, yet I'm sure he dumbed them down.
