Anyway, I don't know exactly how it's happened, but I've been sucked into the going shopping at the crack of ass dawn tomorrow morning. Being as how I work retail, this is the last thing I would expect I would want to do... and yet I do want to ( Read more... )

Whataburger
Think burgers similar to Sonic, but in a restaurant where you can go inside and sit down.

Jack in the Box
Another restaurant I miss. I love both the Sourdough Jack and the Ultimate Cheeseburger.

I've only had in-and-out (the hamburger, that is) once, and quite honestly, it didn't impress me at all. From the way everyone raves about them, I wonder if I didn't just get a bad one...

Now as for Sonic and Ponchos. MMMMMM. Damn you for making me hungry (and thirsty! Cherry Limeade!).

Did you ever try El Pollo Loco while you were out there last time? Their chicken is unlike anything I've ever had. It's really good.

How was the weather? It rained here today...

No, we never did do El Pollo Loco. I know that the In-N-Out is probably going to happen today, and I'm finding that we may really really need to go to Fazoli's since they actually have them here, unlike Maryland only having the one in Hagerstown.

Tomorrow there's a trip to Flagstaff, and we're trying to work out exactly how best to do it, because if we're going to do the Flagstaff thing, we may as well ALSO do the Grand Canyon. My family, of course, has demanded pictures. :) As if I wouldn't take plenty!

As for the weather, it's been lovely! Upper 60s, though I'd say, in the sun, it's definitely gone over 70. At the risk of sounding like a McDonalds commercial, I'm lovin' it.

"Anus ing?" Freudian slip much? :)

In-N-Out and Jack In The Box are great. I wish they were on the East Coast. Maya will probably post here since you mentioned In-N-Out. She loves it.

Onoez... a Sonic in Fredericksburg?! How'd I miss THAT one?

And yes, the Five Guys is just down the road, when it finally opens, and who cares about a Checkers in Gaithersburg, when there's a Checkers around the corner from my apartment?! Greenbelt Rd, baby!

If I had a vehicle of my own, I'd probably have done a couple more things this visit than we have. I love his family and all, but I feel like I'm really not here to stay in... it's too nice outside!

Jack in the Box, Sonic, and Whataburger...are you sure you aren't in Texas? We actually have all of those within a few blocks from our our neighborhood.

I agree, though, you don't need the certificate. :P

Bad Mikey! Dirty mind!

I love Whataburger. I've even had Whataburger in Phoenix. Their burgers are good and all, but what I like are their breakfast burritos, called taquitos, specifically the bacon and egg one (377 cals, 20g fat). Oh, and the last time I had breakfast at a Whataburger, they served those industrial potato wedges as "hash browns", which fucking ROCKED. If there are two horrible, ghastly foods I truly love, they are cafeteria mac & cheese and industrial hashy wedges.

We don't have Whataburgers in Kansas, but we do have Runza here, and they have the OMG best crinkle-cut fries on EARTH.
